Straiton Pond

It is a somewhat hidden little haven entered just a few yards from my daughter's door. I was banished there for an hour or so this afternoon while my wife helped our daughter check out the fit of her wedding dress. As I walked I mulled over my speech.

  1. I think you had the best end of the deal ;-)

Lovely nature today and the joy and anticipation of seeing your daughter on her wedding day :-)

    1. By far the best end of the deal Cherie, although the fitting check went very well, I hear.

    1. I am, but whether anyone else will be remains to be seen. It will be a bit "different" at least.

  3. I didn't realize you were about to escort a bride down the aisle! How wonderful. PS: You've found a perfect place to consider your speech.

My best wishes to all of you. When is the big day?

    1. 11th July Debby, having been previously postponed twice due to Covid-19 bans on weddings. It looks like it's going to happen this time.

  5. May third time be a charm.
Will your speech differ much from the one you had in your mind, last year?

    1. Not by much Sean. A great theatrical monologue is timeless, is it not? Although there may be a reference to "Waiting for Wedot..."
