    1. Especially if wandering along in a bit of a daydream when a train comes thundering past rather close to your head.

  2. What an intriguing bridge - and a great perspective for a photo.

  4. What lies beyond [CherryPie]? A golf course methinks, if memory serves me well.

    1. Hello Calum, nice to hear from you, and you are partly right in that, as Debby said below, it depends what choices you make; for if you keep walking to the end of the bridge you will reach the road to Dundee, or Edinburgh and other places, turn off at the first set of steps and you will reach the island with a choice of golf course or wooded walks, turn off at the second set of steps and you will reach the riverside walk, with two directions to choose; and if you take the railway line heading backwards you could end up, via the Channel Tunnel at, eh, Vladivostok, eventually, among many other places. But i was heading to the golf course, as you knew.

  5. A conjoined rail and footbridge? I haven't seen one of those beasts in a long time.

  6. What lies beyond? We'll all get there, won't we? We just need to remember that there is more than one way to go.

    1. Indeed, but in life not the choice of heading back again if required.
